Research Scientist (Materials Science, Chemistry)

 

Job Summary:

● Work closely with a team of scientists to help optimize and develop novel development strategies to drive sensor projects.
● Design, develop and execute experiments with chemical and genetic modifications for sensor materials.
● Assessment of emerging conjugation/chemical technologies with an emphasis towards the implementation of new experimental techniques enabling sensor development.
● Compile research report and articulate to team members in an organized and efficient fashion.

 

Basic Qualifications:

MS degree in chemistry, protein science, biochemistry or a related discipline with a minimum of 2-year of relevant, hands-on experience.
● Strong background in protein biochemistry, protein modification using enzymatic and chemical methods, and analytical characterization.
● Ability to think creatively to identify and solve scientific problems.
● The ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, to communicate clearly and effectively and build open and collaborative relationships is essential.
● Ability to effectively work independently and effectively participate in multi-disciplinary teams.

Firmware Engineer ( Firmware, BLE, LoRa, Xbee, IoT System )

 

Job Summary:

● Developing/maintaining firmware about gas sensors or control systems applied to medical and industrial.
● Job scope includes product MCU, power management, protocol  interface,  remote control and communication.
● Providing the necessary technical support for hardware design and problem analysis.
● Working on STM32 platform.

 

Basic Qualifications:

The candidate will be responsible for developing firmware for wireless IoT devices running on resource limited microcontroller (ST series). The IoT device controls its sensors and exchanges information with a gateway over a wireless network, minimizing the power consumption of individual peripherals and communication protocol stacks. This will include developing applications that run on top of lightweight operating systems to coordinate the operations of various sensors, flash memory, and communication module. The candidate will also work with testing team to ensure the integrity and reliability of the device operation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience must be between 2-6 years.
● Must have experience in Bluetooth Low Energy/Zigbee/IoT area especially in Firmware development.
● Strong experience and knowledge in C/C++/Python
● Strong Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and complexity analysis
● Experience on Bluetooth classic profiles such as HFP/A2DP/MAP/HID and BLE GATT profiles is highly desired.
● Bluetooth Software debugging experience with Bluetooth sniffer tools, protocol analyzers
● Experience with Linux Inter-process Communication(IPC) & Multi-threading programming.

Mechanical Engineer ( IoT Device )

 

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Mechanical Engineer of IoT Devices will contribute ME aspects to development of new designs at all stages, from concept creation through launched product, including related accessories and jigs.

 

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
● Definition of mechanical designs for interconnected data acquisition and processing devices
● Broad use and application of mechanical engineering principles, concepts, theories and techniques to solve problems related to product development, manufacturing, and design
● Translation of customer requirements into functional specifications (mechanically based)
● Interaction with customers to evaluate concepts
● Interacting with manufacturing and process personnel to optimize product design for ease of manufacturing
● Interacting with electrical engineering and firmware/software development team to implement concepts
● Designing and conducting experiments to validate product performance, including design and prototyping of concepts for rapid testing and verification
● Ensure accurate and controlled documents are generated. Produce design models, drawing details, assembly drawings and associated engineering documentation with 3D parametric modelling software, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point
● Use software tools such as SolidWorks and Pro/E (Creo) to design mechanical parts and assemblies
● Staying up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are efficient and competitive
● Providing onsite technical support for related engineering prototypes, NPI and production release

● Actively communicating and collaborating with project teams and customer

 

Basic Qualifications:

● Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
● Minimum of three years experience in using 3D-CAD; prefer Pro/E (Creo) experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

● Broad use and application of mechanical engineering principles, theories, concepts and techniques to solve problems
● Minimum of one year of combined team leadership and/or project leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment
